Thumbnails
The beginning stages of the animatic. This was the final thumbnail idea that I eventually developed into the animatic. I made the mistake of not making them the same screen ratio so some things had to have their proportions changed.
I had to scrap some items due to time constraints unfortunately. Such as the panel 5 and parts of panel 6. However, I was able to improve the 2.5d appearance of panel 4 in the final animatic.
Shot four - Main 2.5d movement shot
For all the moving parts of the animatic the layers had to be split into parts and below you can see the different layers used for shot four. To create a 2.5d movement is to make a 2d space appear somewhat 3d. So in this particular movement the foreground would be moving at a quicker speed than that of the background. Each layer had its on speed as seen in the animatic above.

Shot Six- Minor 2.5d movement shot
For this shot I attempted to create a camera movement to reveal each "pretty maid". As if the camera was coming around to the front of their profiles by sliding them all at different heights, directions and speeds on a 2d platform. I chose to use a simple background to emphasize the movement and draw too much attention from it.
